Fall 2008 Sunday, October 19 - Court of Honor at UD Church. Those going to the Camporee should report at 12:30. If you are not going to the Camporee, scouts need to report at 1:00. We'll practice the ceremony from 1 to 1:30. The official Court of Honor begins at 1:30. Full uniforms please. (We are not planning a meal or snacks afterward this time.) Saturday, October 25 - Camporee at Pinchot Park. We'll be planning some of this before the Court of Honor, but here is the general outline. We'll meet at SH early Saturday to carpool to the Camporee by 9. The days activities include an open program of options such as canoeing, hiking bicycling, games, pumpkin cookies or pumpkin baked goods contest (items to be consumed immediately after the contest, or possibly as part of the judging) and some general mayhem. We plan to return Saturday evening. We do have campsites for those who want to sleep over Saturday night and enjoy the park Sunday too. Permission slip is attached and required. November activities include Food drive flyer distribution on the 8th, food collection on the 15th, a Hike being planned by Sean Weidner, a CPR certification course and any other activities we come up with. Saturday, November 8 - distribute scouting for food flyers. Monday, November 10 - No scouts - No school that day. Saturday, November 15 - Collect scouting for food in the morning AND CPR at 1:00 p.m. The details of where to drop off the collection is in the works. The CPR details were provided by Patrick Vares in a prior email. Monday, November 24 - Planning for December and early 2009 (including summer camp discussion). Meeting at the UD Church. We have some events pending, including a trip to Indiantown Gap, a service project, and as I recall, a Guitar Hero night to get in before Christmas.
