Boy Scouts get away from it all! They camp, hike, and fish in the great outdoors. They get together in troops, and try out new experiences. Boy Scouting is available to boys who are 11 through 17 years old, or who have earned the Arrow of Light Award, and have completed the fifth grade.

Boy Scouts have unique opportunities to learn new things and acquire skills values that are difficult to obtain anywhere else – skills that will remain with them the remainder of their lives.  From the challenges of mastering the specific requirements of their merit badges to practical camping and survival skills, the scouts can help make your boy a better adult.

Adult Volunteers Needed:  Scouting makes a direct and positive impact on your community by teaching positive values and leadership skills to youth. Join the individuals who support Scouting's mission.   

Council Members – meet to discuss the mission and the progress of the Troop.

Troop Leaders – Opportunities exist in helping with weekly meetings, assisting with troop trips, and becoming a merit badge counselor.

Typically we meet at the South Hanover Elementary School each Monday from 7 - 8pm during the school year. There is no meeting if there is no school on Monday. Typically there will not be a Monday meeting if there was a weekend activity unless otherwise noted.
