COUNCIL PINEWOOD DERBY

---------------------------------------------

There may be a council pinewood derby each year.

A HISTORY OF PACK 362 PINEWOOD DERBY

---------------------------------------------

Who built the track?  Charlie Berkheimer and his sons.  Charlie said that cars coming down the original track were clocked the State Police radar guns (guests at the derby) at 180 mph!  He had to lower the track 6 inches to keep cars from flying off the track and slow them down to 120 mph!  Thank you Charlie for all the memories (and the miles!).

Who keeps track of all the fast-paced action can tell us through some serious number crunching who won the day?  Rick, the number guy, Hoover.  Rick has been coming out to this race since 1990 working the numbers for the Pack.  Thanks Rick – you are number 1 with us!
